1. Who
can be a member of AGMA?
Membership is open to companies with a manufacturing interest
in the gear and mechanical power transmission industry. Membership
is not restricted by geography; AGMA has members worldwide. Learn
more about the types of companies that are members in AGMA.
2. Does AGMA have
individual or student memberships?
AGMA's primary membership is for companies/corporations that manufacture
gears, gearboxes, flexible couplings, or mechanical power transmission
equipment or components. We also have members that supply machine tools,
cutting tools, and other capital equipment to the gear manufacturing
industry; offers supplies or services such as gear blanks, lubricants,
heat-treating, grinding, etc. Users of gears and gearing equipment may
also join. We do have a few independent consultants and professors of
mechanical engineering as individual technical members. However, AGMA
does not have student memberships or memberships for individual
engineers who are employed at companies that manufacture or use
gears.
3. How much does it
cost?
AGMA members who manufacture gears pay annual dues based on sales of
gears and related products or of sales to the gear industry. Click
