AGMA's Online Workforce Education Program
AGMA’s workforce training program, in gear manufacturing,
is a multi-level program that includes three
course: Fundamentals of Gearing, Gear Inspection and
Hobbing.
Hobbing: This is new course is the third
module in AGMA's Online Workforce Education
Program. The Hobbing course includes all
required course material, the Study Guide and the Certification
Exam. Please note, the Hobbing Course assumes knowledge of the
Fundamentals Course and the material is considered a prerequisite
for Hobbing. See an example of the course material by viewing a five question sample exam.
Gear Inspection: This more advanced course examines
the why and how of inspecting gears. Students will review several
inspection methods and when to use each. The course offers
instruction in reading and understanding inspection charts routinely
available from modern inspection equipment.
Fundamentals of Gearing: The computer-based
instruction will present the material you need to know to learn the
basics of gearing. The course includes a Study Guide designed to
be used with the online course, a sample exam to help students measure
their progress and a final exam. Students who successfully
complete the exam will receive a certificate that recognizes their
accomplishment. The Fundamentals of Gearing will give successful
students a solid beginning to gearing. This course is a
pre-requisite to all other AGMA online courses. Just register to
