Times are generally good for gear manufacturers, but everyone recalls
2001-2 when the industry shrank almost 30%.
What will the next 18 months hold for the gear
industry?
Mike Bradley will present his analysis of the gear market and his
forecast for the future in his presentation, “How Changing
Economic Conditions Will Impact the Gear Market -- Today and
Tomorrow.”
The Marketing & Forecasting Conference will also feature,
"You're Online, So Why Isn't It Working?" presented by
Angela Charles, President, and John Inama, Director of Sales of Pilot
Fish.
Having a corporate web site is no longer an option, it’s a
requirement. But having a site, and having one that’s
effective are two entirely different things.

73% of engineers and technical buyers say they use search engines or
online industrial directories first when seeking product
information. Having a web site that can be found on Google and
Yahoo is imperative. Even more critical is getting a position on
these search engines within the first 3 pages. 90% of search
engine users stop looking after the top 3 pages of results.
Attendees will learn the must-haves of a successful Internet
marketing program, from effective content and design to promotion on
U.S. and international search engines and industry sites for maximum
visibility. This session also will include examples that prevent
sites from performing well, with advice on how to improve positioning on
major search engines.
