We’re excited that you are interested in joining AGMA! We
would welcome your membership. Our Board and Staff are dedicated
to helping members compete more effectively in today’s global
marketplace. To join, simply complete the membership
application and return it with a check or your credit card
information. It’s that easy for you to become a part of the
Association established solely for the purpose of assisting its members,
the gear industry as a whole, and the public by dealing with issues of
mutual concern.

Why You Should Join AGMA
AGMA has members in about 30 countries and, in fact, is quickly
becoming the global Association for global manufacturers in the gear
industry. As we become more globally connected, it is
imperative that we recognize how others outside of our own country
conduct business – AGMA is an intersection of diverse cultures,
businesses and products.
Member involvement has enabled AGMA to have an impact on issues such
as federal procurement policy, product liability, international trade
reform and other issues of importance to the gear industry. Through
AGMA, YOU can have an impact.
Members may participate in several FREE management-level reports
designed to provide accurate and timely information and statistics. See
where you stand in the industry! A questionnaire will be sent to a
specified individual and returned to our consultants to compile the
historical statistical data. These summaries will provide benchmark
statistical information critical to management decision making. This

The best way to keep pace with the industry is through AGMA. We keep
you abreast of the latest trends and developments through peer-to-peer
contacts at council meetings and educational programs, survey market
statistics programs, newsletters, and technical publications.
Setting the Standards
For more than 80 years, AGMA has set the standards for the gear
industry, and AGMA members are recognized as experts around the
world. Member committees write new standards and update
existing ones. When you become a member, you will
receive a complimentary set of AGMA standards on CD and electronic
copies of new and revised standards as they are

standards development by serving on ISO’s Technical Advisory
Groups (TAGs) to ISO Technical Committee 60, Gearing. (AGMA
is Secretariat of this international standards development
committee).

biennial trade show, is designed exclusively for the gear
industry. Those who attend the show are focused on

Being Heard on Capitol Hill
