Privacy Policy
AGMA respects your privacy. We will not:
-
Sell or distribute your name or e-mail address to any third
party.
-
Retain your credit card information if you purchase items through
our Web site.
-
Place any files or programs on your computer without your
knowledge.
-
Distribute membership information to you via e-mail if you elect to
opt out of AGMA’s e-mail distribution list.
AGMA collects three types of information from its Web
site:
-
Your IP (Internet Protocol) address.
-
Information voluntarily submitted for access to the Members Only
section of our website on publication order forms, meeting registration
forms or e-mails sent to the website administrator.
-
Cookies, if the user so chooses.
Your IP address is only a temporary name by which a computer obtains
access to the AGMA Web site. AGMA uses your IP address to help
diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site’s
quality. We do not use IP addresses to personally identify
users. We use a log file of IP addresses to determine which areas
of our site visitors like, based on the volume of traffic, and to better
prepare future site content based on the number of hits on particular
pages of the site. We do not track the usage patterns of
individual users, but rather how well each page on our site performs
overall.
Information voluntarily disclosed to AGMA either online or in writing
through publication order forms, meeting registration forms, survey
response forms, and relevant e-mails is added to the appropriate AGMA
database to enable the processing of the order or registration or for
the appropriate response. This information is usually the name,
address and item purchased, meeting attended or topic of interest.
AGMA may distribute additional relevant information, based on interest,
to individuals identified by information voluntarily submitted to
AGMA.
You may opt out of receiving additional communications from AGMA by
e-mailing webmaster@agma.org to
have your name removed from our lists. Corrections or other
changes may also be made by e-mailing webmaster@agma.org.
AGMA takes appropriate measures to ensure the reliability of member
records and to protect them from loss, misuse or alteration.
Cookies
Cookies are text files that contain information created by a Web server
that can be stored on your hard disk for use either during a particular
session or for future use. Cookies do not interact with your
computer in any way. AGMA uses cookies only to facilitate
automated activity, store and track passwords, and review navigation
patterns. Cookies are not used to disseminate significant
information about users over the Internet or to analyze any information
that you have knowingly or unknowingly provided AGMA.
Credit Card Information
AGMA does not disclose any credit card account information provided by
its members and customers. When members and customers choose to
pay using their credit cards, AGMA submits the information needed to
obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse. AGMA does not
retain credit card numbers in either electronic or paper form.

will take appropriate action.
