The Monthly Market Trend Report (MMTR)
This report is conducted under the guidance of the AGMA Statistical
Council, and is mailed to a specified individual at each participating
company with a pre-printed return envelope. Only the Statistician
at the American Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) opens any
mail returned in these envelopes. This report is highly
confidential, timely and accurate and can help you follow market trends,
identify turning points and forecast.
Participate! Your Competition does.
Monthly Market Trend Reports are published under eight different
Product Groups. If your company manufacturers any of these
products, you may participate in the monthly survey and receive the
results:
-
Coarse Pitch Gears
-
Fine Pitch Gears
-
Worm/Speed Reducers & Gearmotors
-
Concentric Gearmotor/Motoreducer Products
-
Shaft Mounted Speed Reducers
-
High Speed Units
-
Offset Parallel Shaft and Right Angle Speed Reducers
-
Mechanical Adjustable Speed Drives
The MMTR will provide benchmark statistics by which a company can
assess its competitiveness in the gear/flexible coupling industry.
An Annual Summary covering the calendar year is also distributed.
Each of the eight product groups in the MMTR has a separate report.
The Operating Ratio Report (ORR)
Download
the 2007 ORR Questionnaire
Operating
Ratio Report Objective
To help gear manufacturers improve their financial results by
establishing “typical” financial performance targets and by
analyzing how “high profit” companies in the industry
achieve their success.
Operating Ratio Report
Assesses What is Most Important
Few gear manufacturers have unlimited
resources to invest in their operation. Each year owners are faced
with making resource allocation decisions that will result in improved
profitability. One of the major barriers is the inability of
managers to shift resources from historically established operating
procedures. The Operating Ratio Report can provide you with
information that details industry performance norms as well as the
importance of each performance factor. Identifying high
performance factors that have great impact on profitability allows
managers to focus their attention and deploy their resources in the most
efficient and effective manner. The results of the Operating Ratio
Report help you prioritize where an investment of resources will have
the greatest impact on improving profitability.
Your data will be treated
confidentially by the Mackay Research
Group. Because you send the survey
directly to Mackay Research Group, no one from AGMA or its staff has
access to individual company data. Participant data is aggregated
in a manner that prevents identification of any individual
company.
The ORR is conducted under the direction of the
AGMA Statistical Council. The Operating Ratio Report is sent to
participating firms only.
The Wage & Benefit Survey (W&B)
This report is conducted under the guidance of the AGMA Statistical
Council and is returned directly to “Dr. Mike” Bradley,
AGMA’s Economic Consultant.
Management of labor is an essential part of success. The Wage
& Benefit Survey is a way to rate your competitiveness in the labor
market. This report will also provide information for labor
contract negotiations and for guidance in developing better employee
benefit plans to attract and retain employees. The Survey provides
a wealth of information about the gear industry in clear, easy to read
graphics and text.
-

advantage of these valuable benchmarks and see where you stand in the
industry.
