Objectives of AGMA
AGMA’s Board of Directors, in support of the Association’s mission statement, has approved the following objectives:
MEMBERSHIP
Recognizing that the organization’s success depends on the involvement and support of its members, the Board of Directors, volunteer leaders and AGMA staff will recruit new members to join and encourage all members to be actively involved.
MEMBER SERVICES
AGMA will meet the diverse needs of its membership with a wide range of high quality programs and services, which will include but not be limited to: a forum for member-to-member communications such as sharing of best practices, benchmarking, and problem solving; market research and information; educational and worker training programs; government relations and fostering gear research.
STANDARDS
AGMA will meet the diverse needs of its membership with a wide range of high quality programs and

COMMUNICATIONS
AGMA will communicate to existing and prospective members, academic communities, government agencies,
elected officials, and the gear industry those programs and services that the Association offers.
BUSINESS PRACTICES
AGMA’s Board of Directors will ensure that the Association exercises sound fiscal oversight in
performing its mission. While AGMA will continue to maintain its commitment to providing quality
programs, all programs must address their sources of income and expenditure at the time of their approval to
ensure the Association’s fiscal integrity. The Board also ensures that the organization practices a high level of ethics in the performance of its mission.
