Recovery from the “Great Recession”:
Half-hearted or Full Steam Ahead?

James P. Meil, VP and Chief Economist, Eaton Corporation

The scorekeepers say the recession ended in June 2009, but the economic recovery since then has been slow and erratic. April is an excellent time to review how the global economy is progressing; to see what direction interest rates, inflation, and government policy are headed. Let’s check out how industrial markets are faring and look ahead at prospects for the rest of 2011 and see what is in store for 2012 and beyond.

Back by popular demand, Jim Meil will again address the AGMA/ABMA attendees and offer his economic analysis. He has a unique perspective from within the manufacturing sector with a keen understanding of what impacts our sector. In 2011, we again reach out to Jim and ask him to predict what lies ahead for manufacturing.
