CORPORATE INDUSTRY MANAGER – Food & Beverage
Purpose and Scope of Job:
To increase SMA market share in the food & beverage industry including but not limited to contacting industry decision-makers, delegating project leads, and developing product features for these industries.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):
- Establish, track, and delegate project leads.
- Promote business development initiatives by contacting key decision makers throughout the industry.
- Maintain statistics of industry successes and market performance.
- Develop industry-specific product features.
- Perform market analysis and develop market plans and projections for potential business segments.
- Coordinate and perform salesforce training activities.
- Develop and execute Business Plans and Marketing Plans supporting strategic corporate objectives for SMA revenue, margin, and share growth at distributor accounts.
- Work with cross-functional teams to successfully execute strategies through the Marketing and Sales organizations.
- Represent SMA to industry associations, professional organizations, and distributor organizations.
- Communicate activities to executive management in written, verbal, and presentation media.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in the food beverage industry.
- Considerable experience with Strategy Development, Budget Management, and Project Management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required. Ability to adapt to audience and project competence and confidence when speaking to range of audiences and groups.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in strategic selling disciplines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to perform a considerable amount of travel (25-50%).
- Field service experience is preferred.
- Membership in multiple industry organizations is preferred.

- Determine in-process dimensions required to provide finished parts to customer specification.
- Determine tools needed and appropriate machines to use for manufacturing parts.
- Generate CNC programs, manually or with MasterCam or Gibbs Cam
- Generate process drawings in AutoCAD Inventor for operations as needed.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing problems, i.e. size problems, surface finish, tool life, setup problems
- Work on continuous improvement projects to drive through implementation to completion.
Requirements:
- Proactive, self-directed worker who can prioritize and juggle several tasks as needed.

Brief description of position
Key responsibilities
- Contribute as application expert in segment- sales and R&D projects

- Be the Subject Matter Expert for Industrial Transmission applications within our Division

- Develop the internal technical and industry knowledge related to the specific segment on a global basis by corporation with local sales units, product development and product lines.

Job Requirements :
- M Sc or in mechanical engineering or similar.

- High level of analytical ability and statistical analysis where problems are unusual and difficult.
- Good oral and written skills and effective communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- General understanding of engineering principles related to plastic component design
- Good problem solving and communication skills.
- PC board modeling or development software experience. Altium Designer experience a plus

Staff Engineer, Mechanical Design - Gearbox - Hamilton Sundstrand
Job Responsibilities
Mechanical engineer working in an IPD team environment responsible for the design, analysis, development, and testing of rotating machinery products for aerospace applications. This is primarily a technical position requiring the application of engineering principles and design tools to analyze and define components (bearings, clutches, gears, housings, mount system, seals, and lube system, etc.) typically found in gearbox or pneumatic starter assemblies.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Masters of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred
Experience/Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years experience in a high performance aerospace mechanical design engineering capacity. Experience in the mechanical design, development and testing of rotating machinery such as gearboxes or starters is preferred. Mechanical design and analysis capability through use of analytical tools, Unigraphics/NX and Teamcenter toolset a plus. The position requires a person with initiative, resourcefulness and teamwork traits, who must have good written and oral communication and the willingness to lead and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
