Arrow Gear Company Receives 50-year AGMA Membership Award

The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) presented a 50-year membership award to Arrow Gear Company during the Awards Dinner at the 2010 AGMA/ABMA Annual Meeting, held March 4-6, 2010, in Tucson, Ariz.
Arrow Gear President Joe Arvin and International Business Development Manager John Cervinka were on hand to receive the award.
In 1947, Arrow Gear was founded by James J. Cervinka and Frank E. Pielsticker. The company began operation in a small industrial building in Worth, Ill., and, in 1961, moved to its current location in Downers Grove, Ill. – a western suburb of Chicago. Cervinka continues as Arrow Gear’s CEO and chairman of the board – and is a strong supporter of AGMA.
Early in Arrow Gear’s history, its founders embraced a commitment to building the company into a leading force in the gear industry. This longstanding tradition to growth remains today and has resulted in the expansion of the original Downers Grove facility seven times to accommodate new technologies for gear manufacturing.
Arrow Gear can manufacture gearing products that meet the most demanding customer requirements, and it serves both aerospace and commercial applications.
Throughout the years as an AGMA member, Arrow Gear has been an active participant in many of AGMA’s committees and councils and provided its leadership on the AGMA Board of Directors. Arrow Gear Chairman James Cervinka received the AGMA Chairman’s Award of Excellence in 2002.
