Director of Sales

We are seeking dynamic and forward-thinking candidates for our Director of Sales position in our B&D Service Division.

Job Duties

  • Lead, Manage, and hold accountable all members of B&D Service sales team across all territories
    • Lead by developing self and making sure team is doing the same (reading books, staying up on industry trends, etc).Also by supporting innovation, by making sure that sales team feels motivated and cared for, and providing leadership by communication and by example
    • Manage by riding with salespeople and ensuring that they have the tools they need to take care of customers, coaching them on best practices in sales, and ensuring that communication among team is strong and they are well informed of corporate and divisional initiatives
    • Hold accountable by leading meetings and ensuring that goals that are set are being met. Sales plans should exist for each salesperson and they should be held accountable for following those plans and accomplishing their objectives
    • Prepared for75% travel
  • Work with other functional groups (marketing and strategic accounts, technical, field service, shops, and admin) to make sure that our sales team is operating at optimal level

    • Marketing – work with group to develop market plan and target accounts, communicating needs and then ensuring that sales force follows the plan
    • Technical – work with group by taking direction on service lines to promote and value added solutions that should be provided. Utilize, and charge for, our technical value add
    • Field Service and Shops – support management and our workers who get the job done. Make sure that sales team is communicating effectively and that team work is cohesive
    • Admin – communicate with office, show respect for their time and give the information necessary to quote/bill/etc
  • Serve as divisional executive

    • Help to set the direction and execute plans of the organization
    • Be a good team member and reflect an image of positivity to all people in the organization
    • Make decisions for the good of the organization not just for the good of the sales team

Preferred but not required qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree from a four year accredited university
  • Five to seven years experience in either the paper or gearing industry
  • Willing to relocate to the Southeast
