Position Summary:

Scot Forge is seeking a talented individual to perform maintenance duties as part of the maintenance team. Perform duties to troubleshoot, repair, install, build, calibrate, tune, and maintain a variety of Heat Treat and Forge equipment and systems. Maintain equipment to the standards set forth by internal procedures and aerospace specifications. 

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively participate in C.O.G.S. process to ensure the continued success of the program- maintain knowledge of the process through training, perform scheduled observations, and provide quality feedback in order to promote safer work behaviors and conditions.
Diagnose combustion, electrical, and other equipment problems using a variety of test procedures. 
Dismantle combustion, electrical and other equipment, replace defective parts, reassemble and test. 
Work from quality procedures, customer specifications, industry specifications, machine manuals, and instructions from Group Leaders, Supervisor, and Service Technicians.
Understand and work with wiring diagrams and schematics.
Install and modify equipment in accordance with code requirements.
Perform calibrations, tuning, and preventive maintenance as require by specifications and procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of tests and calibrations
Assists during installation of new equipment and retrofits of existing equipment.
Provide support for startup of new equipment.
Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate guidelines for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
Instruct and coach less experienced workers.
Perform other maintenance duties as required.
Complete production time cards ensuring that accurate records are maintained.
Schedule preventative maintenance, testing, and calibration with appropriate production personnel.
Communicate production and equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
Use time productively to ensure efficient department productively.
Assist in the installation of refractory's and set up cure out of castable refractories.
Understand and follow the Scot Forge quality policy.
Work in cooperation with all fellow employee owners to sustain a strong team atmosphere.
Participate in the shift kickoff meetings.

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED and completion of craft apprenticeship.
Associates degree preferred in; mechanical, electrical or industrial. 
2-5 years' experience in a heavy industrial maintenance, preferred. 

 

Additional Requirements:

Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship

Pre-employment, must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug screen, physical and lift evaluation
