Manufacturing Engineer -Gear Machining

  • Develop & implement new (or improve current) processes ranging in size and scope by monitoring technical developments in gear machining
  • Investigate, propose & manage large capital projects (for both current product, as well as long range products)
  • Drive the development and implementation of a software manufacturing execution system
  • Work closely to ensure equipment specification, qualification of processes, acquisition of tooling, ergonomic issues and rearrangement & development of layouts
  • Implement cost reduction programs using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve Control) tools
  • Act as a liaison with product engineering & manufacturing program management as needed
  • Provide coaching & mentoring for peers

What you bring to our winning team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required
  • Minimum of 3 years gear manufacturing or development experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical as well as “hands on” aptitude
  • Ability to interact & communicate with different functions & various levels of employees
  • Excellent problem solving skills & ability to prioritize projects is required
  • Experience managing capital projects
  • ASQ or SME certification, desired
  • Lean Six Sigma certification, strongly preferred

Because of the wide range of variety you will encounter with projects, this is a great opportunity for you to further expand your manufacturing knowledge. Furthermore, you will use your strong interpersonal communication skills & creativity to lead the initiative in identifying, analyzing and implementing manufacturing processes for both current products as well as new product introductions in Machining.
