Manufacturing Engineer (46-50)
This position at Solar Turbines Superior Gear facility performs manufacturing engineering tasks such as detail parts manufacturing planning on new components or changes to existing parts. Responsibilities include conducting detailed part manufacturing process review, first article proofing, tooling/fixture design, machining equipment selection and requisition, and product design and development support. The position may also lead the facility quality BIQ processes, corrective actions, quality audit, and continuous improvement activities.

Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline
Experience with manufacturing processes that include standard shop practices and methods relating to machining, tooling, fixtures, and assembly operations
Must be willing to work as required to support dynamic production schedules
Manufacturing engineering experience, especially with gear manufacturing
Proficient with Pro-E, PDM systems (Windchill), and ERP systems (BaaN ME and Quality modules)
Experience with quality engineering tools and techniques
Excellent communication, collaborative, initiative, and problem solving ability to arrive at solutions with minimal guidance
Ability to perform with minimal supervision
