Northrop Grumman Marines Systems specializes in the development, manufacturing, assembly and testing of missile launching and handling systems and propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines.


This position manages approximately 10 - 12 non-exempt employees to meet contract delivery requirements. The fundamental understandings of the lean principals are required to lead, guide and direct the efforts of the team with highest regard to safety and budget goals. Supervise shop personnel to ensure compliance with shop instructions, i.e. drawings, programs, tooling, manufacturing methods and QA documents. Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Procedures and Shop Paper Handbook. Instill strong manufacturing practices in housekeeping set forth by Environmental, Health and Safety and Fire Protection Departments. Apply the Union and company agreement to ensure compliance with the Company Policies and Procedures.



Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university desired. May be waived upon demonstrated skill and knowledge. Significant supervisory experience required. Experience in supervising shop personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in supervising shop personnel responsible for gear manufacturing (hobbing and grinding) of components on large and small controlled and manual machines is strongly preferred.
