FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alexandria, VA, January 4, 2019 - AGMA welcomes Teshia Payne as the new Publications Coordinator working in the Technical Division.
Payne graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration on management from Strayer University in 2008. She will work closely with Amir Aboutaleb, Vice President of the Technical Division in organizing the Fall Technical Meeting (FTM), assisting the technical committees with their Standards development projects and editing and maintaining AGMA standard publications. Before AGMA, Teshia worked as a Technical Writer with large and small government contracting firms for more than 20 years with the last six as a Proposal Writer throughout the DC, Maryland and Virginia locale.
Payne enjoyed working with the government but is looking forward to the new and different opportunities that will come with AGMA.
“I believe that my background in technical writing will allow for a nice transition into the AGMA Technical Department,” Payne said. “I look forward to working with all of the different people that contribute to our standards’ process and to continue to build on the strong reputation and success of the FTM.”
Payne will be taking over the entire submission process for the FTM along with the organization of the conference.
“We are pleased to have Teshia join our Technical Division team here at AGMA,” Aboutaleb explained. “With her writing skills and experience working in changing environments through the government, Teshia will be a valuable addition to the AGMA family.”
