FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alexandria, VA, May 10, 2018 - AGMA welcomes Phillip Olson as the new Staff Engineer working in the Technical Division.
Olson graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Minnesota State University in 2009 and will work closely with Amir Aboutaleb, Vice President of the Technical Division in assisting the technical committees with their Standards development projects. Before AGMA, Olson worked as Manufacturing Engineer and later as the Quality Manager, at North American Gear and Forge in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
He enjoyed both previous positions and is no stranger to the standards process that he will be working on.
“As a quality manager, I was able to quickly learn the ISO 9001:2008 standard and lead our company through a successful re-certification audit,” Olson said. “I enjoy being directly involved with each step of manufacturing and seeing processes designed turn hunks of metal into useful gears and assemblies.”
As a Manufacturing Engineer, Olson worked on developing and improving processes regarding differentials including designing many assembly lines for new products.
“We are pleased to have Phillip join our Technical Divison team here at AGMA,” Aboutaleb explained. “With his experience from his work at NAGF, along with the willingness to work hard and make positive contributions, I am sure Phillip will be a valuable addition to the AGMA family.”
