ISO/TC 60 Working Group 13, responsible for standards dealing with bevel gears, has just published;
- ISO 10300-1:2014 “Calculation of load capacity of bevel gears—Part 1: Introduction and general influence factors”
- ISO 10300-2:2014 “Calculation of load capacity of bevel gears—Part 2: Calculation of surface durability (pitting)”
- ISO 10300-3:2014 “Calculation of load capacity of bevel gears—Part 3: Calculation of tooth root strength”
These three International Standards describe the calculations for load capacity of bevel gears. They provide the formulae and symbols used in the calculations as well as the general factors influencing various load conditions.
The new standards supersede their respective previous versions;
- ISO 10300-1:2001
- ISO 10300-2:2001
- ISO 10300-3:2001
As the US TAG to this Working Group, members of the AGMA Bevel Gearing Committee participated, and contributed, actively to the development of these new documents.
The new standards are available for purchase, in electronic format, click on the “STANDARDS” button.
