We are looking for nominations for the following:
Chairmanโs Award
Criteria: This award is presented by the American Gear Manufacturers Association to an individual:
- Who has contributed in a meaningful way to the promotion of the gear industry.
- Who has acted above and beyond the call of duty to support AGMA
- Who has acted unselfishly by getting the job done
- Who has tirelessly supported and promoted the organization
- Who has advanced the goals of AGMA and the gear industry through work done on behalf of the organization
- Who has led or supported a major initiative with the organization
Distinguished Service Award
Criteria: The AGMA Distinguished Service Award is to be bestowed upon only those individuals who have unselfishly advanced the state of the gear industry throughout their notable career(s). It is one of Agmaโs most prestigious awards for technical advancement and/or outstanding service to the gear industry. Non-members are eligible for nomination. The criteria for nomination are an individual:
- Who has advanced the state of the gear industry through many years of dedicated work.
- Whose efforts and achievements have significantly benefited the gear industry and its end users.
- Whose contributions have had positive impact on the successful application of gearing systems.
- Who has unselfishly shared their knowledge and experience to the benefit of others.
- Who has exemplified technical leadership and professional integrity.
- Who has earned the respect and admiration of their peers and industry colleagues.
Next Generation Award
Purpose: To recognize innovative work by an individual responsible for one or more significant achievement(s) through his or her effort and work that has enhanced or strengthened the gear industry and/or AGMA. This award honors individuals who are emerging as contributors, innovators and/or leaders in the gear industry and to serve as an incentive for others in the next generation of gear industry talent.
Criteria & Eligibility: The achievement or contribution by the nominee shall be reviewed by the Awards Committee for its positive impact on the gear industry and/or the AGMA. The outstanding achievement can be for technical, organizational or managerial activities. Nominees for the award shall be from the AGMA membership and shall have been engaged in the gear industry for no more than twelve years.
