Important Board of Directors Vote Happening at 2026 Annual Meeting

On April 23rd, as part of the 2026 MPMA Annual Meeting there will be a vote for the new members of the Board of Directors. All MPMA members present will be asked to vote on the following nominees:ย 

Michael Kapp

Managing Director, KAPP NILES

Michael Kapp is the Managing Director of KAPP NILES, a family-owned, globally operating group of companies headquartered in Coburg, Germany, specializing in precision gear grinding technology and systems. A mechanical engineer by training โ€” he holds a Diploma from the Technical University of Munich โ€” Michael built his career from the ground up, gaining hands-on experience in machine design, technical sales, and service management across the United States before returning to Germany to lead the company founded by his grandfather, Dr. Bernhard Kapp. Since assuming the role of Managing Director alongside his brother Matthias in 2021, Michael has focused on production excellence, digitalization, and operational sustainability, overseeing approximately 1,000 employees across 12 global locations, including KAPP Technologies L.P. in Boulder, Colorado. In addition to his leadership at KAPP NILES, Michael serves on the board of VDW, the German Machine Tool Buildersโ€™ Association, and is an active contributor to the motion and power transmission community through his service on the MPMA Membership Committee.


Jared Scott

National Training Manager, SEW-EURODRIVE USA

Jared Scott is the National Training Manager for SEW-EURODRIVE USA, where he leads the strategic development and execution of technical and professional training initiatives across the organization. With more than 30 years at SEW-EURODRIVE, Jared brings deep expertise in gearmotors, drive systems, and industrial applications โ€” connecting engineering principles with real-world application to ensure training programs are both technically sound and operationally relevant.

In his current role, Jared is responsible for advancing workforce capability through structured training programs that support employee development, customer education, and organizational consistency, while aligning training strategies with the evolving needs of the industry. Jared resides in the Upstate of South Carolina, where he enjoys spending time on the lake with his wife.
