Companies that manufacture gears, gear products, and/or flexible couplings for sale as such, or as component parts of end-use products. Companies must have a bona fide gear or flexible couplings manufacturing facility located in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
Dues are based on the total annual sales volume for the previous fiscal year. Total annual sales volume is defined as the total worldwide sales (in U.S. dollars) of all gears, gear products and flexible couplings whether sold as such, included in end-use products or as replacement parts.
There are minimum and maximum dues caps: Minimum dues – $1,575 plus $.430/$1,000 on sales over $1 million
Maximum dues – $16,650
To calculate your dues, conduct your own calculations or Use this Chart.
If your company’s sales volume for gears is $3 million, you would subtract $1 million.
Next, divide that amount by $1 million, i.e., $2 million/$1 million = 2.
Next, multiply that number by $430 and add the result to $1,575 for a total of $2,435 ($1,575 + $860 = $2,435).
For annual sales greater than $37,000,000, pay the maximum dues amount of $16,650
