PACK EXPO East to Host First Supply Chain Dialogue
January 6, 2026 โ Alexandria, VA โ The Motion + Power Manufacturers Alliance (MPMA) has announced its inaugural Motion + Power Insight Exchange to be held February 17, 2026, during PACK EXPO East in Philadelphia. The Motion + Power Insight Exchange is a collaboration between MPMA and the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) will bring supply chain leaders together for a day of dialogue on trends, challenges, and opportunities across the entire power transmission supply chain (gears, bearings, couplings, etc.). ย
โThe value for participants is that leaders gain insights up and down the supply chain, so they can have a stronger handle on the dynamic market we face today,โ notes Jenny Blackford, chief operating officer of MPMA. ย โModerated by the editors from Power Transmission Engineering magazine, we will ask key questions of participants in an open forum, allowing business insights to come to light and add to their own internal dialogues.โ
Motion + Power Insight Exchange 2026 will focus on packaging, one of the largest sectors for power transmission. Two panels will feature experts from Bosch Rexroth and Siemens Digital Industries Software discussing OEM packaging strategies on a budget and automation made easy. A third presentation will examine current belting technology and offer selection tips for belt performance from Motion AI.
โBetween tariffs and trade, as well as new technologies and AI, there are plenty of topics to explore,โ added Matthew Jaster, director of editorial content for MPMA Media. ย โWe want to hear from machine tools suppliers, gears and bearings manufacturers, end users of power transmission supplies, as well as consultants and academia. Our goal is to have the full supply chain in the room, sharing ideas and thoughts on where we are and where weโre going in the mechanical power transmission and motion control industries.โ
Future iterations of Motion + Power Insight Exchange will be guided by industry leaders within MPMA, as the association collaborates with industry. Findings from the day-long event will be shared with participants and be part of a Power Transmission Engineering magazine special issue.
The event is open to anyone attending PACK EXPO East. Click here for information and details about the Motion + Power Insight Exchange.
