Supreme Gear Company is a leading manufacturer of precision gears and machined components serving the aerospace and defense industries. We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality Department and ensure the continued effectiveness of our Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, Nadcap, and customer-specific requirements.
Position Summary
The Quality Manager will serve as the Management Representative for ISO9001/AS9100 and oversee all quality assurance activities, including systems related to Nadcap compliance. This individual will lead the quality team, manage internal and external audits, support production through process control, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Management Representative for ISO9001/AS9100.
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, AS9100, and Nadcap standards.
- Prepare for and support Nadcap audits and corrective actions.
- Maintain the Internal Audit Program and ensure adherence to documented procedures.
- Manage receiving inspection and ensure material conformance.
- Oversee process control requirements and measurement methods.
- Ensure product verification prior to shipment.
- Maintain required quality records.
- Oversee Measurement Systems Analysis and gauge R&R.
- Maintain the gauge calibration system.
- Track and report on quality performance indicators.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and other process improvements.
- Support the creation of standard work procedures.
- Manage customer issue resolution.
- Oversee supplier quality programs.
- Lead, coach, and develop department personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred.
- Minimum four years of management experience in manufacturing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100.
- Experience with Nadcap compliance preferred.
- Knowledge of gears and gear technology preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required to meet ITAR regulations.
